In a break-through development into the APSC ‘Cash-for-Job’ scam, the Dibrugarh police have directed notices to 25 ACS-APS officers to appear before it.
According to reports, a former minister’s son too has been issued notice in this regard.
The scam involves several ACS and APS officers who allegedly paid heavy sum to then APSC Chairman Rakesh Paul for getting chosen in the civil service.
Earlier, three ACS officers were arrested – identified as Bhaskar Jyoti Devasarma, Bhaskar Dutta and Amit Sarma.
Currently they are lodged in jail who had been working as Circle Officers in different districts of Assam.
Two sets of answer sheets of these 3 officers were recovered from Paul’s office and residence last year in November.
