Archer Promila Daimary from Assam has been included in the Indian squad that will participate in the upcoming World Archery Championship. The event will be held from October 15 to 20 at the Mexico City.
Interestingly, Promila defeated Deepika Kumari of Jharkhand in re-curve category in the selection process trails to win a birth in the squad.
It is worth mentioning that Deepika is a top rated archer in the world and in 2012, she became world no. 1 in Women’s Recurve Archery.
The selection camp was organized at the Tata Archery Academy.
