The list of the names selected to represent the country in the upcoming AFC Asian Cup Qualifier is out and two of Assam’s very own football player Allen Deory and Holicharan Narzary’s names are also in the list.
A total of 9 players have been selected from Northeast India which includes Lalruatthara, Jeje Lalpekhlua and Jerry Lalrinzuala from Mizoram, Eugeneson Lyngdoh from Meghalaya, Jackichand Singh, Salam Ranjan Singh and Udanta Singh from Manipur and last but not the least Allen Deory and Holicharan Narzary from Assam.

Goalkeepers: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Subrata Paul, Vishal Kaith and Amrinder Singh,
Defenders: Lalruatthara, Sarthak Golui, Pritam Kotal, Sandesh Jhingan, Nishu Kumar, Salam Ranjan Singh, Narayan Das, Jerry Lalrinzuala and Anas Edathodika.
Midfielders: Holicharan Narzary, Anirudh Thapa, Jackichand Singh, Nikhil Poojary, Germanpreet Singh, Udanta Singh, Eugeneson Lyngdoh, Md Rafique and Rowllin Borges,
Forwards: Sunil Chhetri, Allen Deory, CK Vineeth, Balwant Singh, Jeje Lalpekhlua and Hitesh Sharma.
The team will play against Macau slated to be held in Bengaluru on October 11, 2017.
