On Thursday night Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) finally gave the green signal for India Australia T20 match in Bhupen Hazarika stadium in Basapara, Guwahati.
The decision came after BCCI representative Javagal Srinath’s visited the Barsapara stadium on Monday and after the inspection revealed his satisfaction on the preparation.
Following all the checks the administrative body of Indian cricket has officially announced that Guwahati’s Basapara stadium will host the second T20I match between India and Australia on October 10 date.
The tickets for the T20 match will be available via online from the fourth week of September, said a source of Assam Cricket Association (ACA).
The source further said that the state association is holding the event taking a loan of Rs. 6 crore from the Apex Bank.
As the revenue will completely depend upon the sale of tickets, it will reduce the numbers of VIP and VVIP passes for the match.
